The process of developing an RFQ into a Quotation requires a thorough review of the application. The study is to cover outside environment issues, potential interference from EMI / RFI bombardment, user interfacing and general handling of the end product. This also includes study of the Touch Panels and how they are affected by these factors.

Optimization

In practice, no two applications are alike. and for that matter, no two Display Module designs are to be duplicated. CCT believes following Standard Module specifications creates opportunities for oversights and misapplications. Certainly, this practice will prohibit the optimization of a Display Module leading to a Display product that does not serve the end product well.

Unlike the industries’ general understanding, optimizing a Display Module does not add cost or cause technical complications. Instead, it is merely a case of matching the parameters of each of the Display Module components to the application in quotation. Cost is not necessarily impacted by the process of optimization.

EOL Prevention

Another part of the RFQ process is the selection of components and materials that have no sign of obsolesce. For this objective, CCT relies on its R&D Department to check on the developments of the industry’s new products and materials that are scheduled to replace current component nad material part numbers. This practice enables CCT to quote with components that are safest to design for production in the years to come.
